Galibot micro utilitaire

Forest ranger vehicle: the Galibot, discreet by design

The ideal forest ranger vehicle must not only access the forest — it must operate without disturbing what it is meant to protect. The Galibot is quiet thanks to its electric motor, lightweight by design, and compact in size. It goes where pickups stop, without disturbing wildlife or compacting forest soils.

Forest ranger vehicle: the requirements of natural environments

A forest ranger operates in fragile ecosystems where every motorized intrusion has consequences. The noise of a combustion engine at 80 decibels can disturb wildlife over several hundred meters — compromising observations, causing game to flee before counts, or signaling presence in anti-poaching surveillance areas. Exhaust emissions in undergrowth accumulate in low-wind areas and can affect sensitive species along sunken paths.

The Galibot addresses these constraints at the source: its electric motor is inaudible below 15 km/h — the typical speed of forest patrols — and its maximum noise level remains under 65 dB, comparable to a normal conversation. Zero exhaust emissions. Reduced ground footprint (1.20 m width, 500 kg unladen) minimizes soil compaction in fragile wet areas or on forest litter.

The Galibot forest ranger vehicle in real-world conditions

Surveillance rounds and sector patrols

The Galibot covers 70 km per charge, equivalent to a full day of patrol over a medium-sized area. Its acoustic discretion allows operators to approach sensitive zones without alerting — a decisive operational advantage for anti-poaching surveillance and wildlife counts. In managed forests, agricultural, forestry, and beekeeping operations have also developed specific uses for the Galibot in production contexts.

Transport of intervention equipment in natural areas

Markers, signage tools, first aid equipment, surveying gear: the 270 kg bed, compatible with a Euro pallet, carries all the equipment needed for a full day of forest operations. For missions that do not require load transport but demand the same level of discretion on even narrower paths, the Galibot light electric quadricycle is an alternative to consider.

Monitoring and management of protected natural areas

In nature reserves, Natura 2000 zones, and protected areas, the use of combustion vehicles may be regulated or subject to specific exemptions. The Galibot, an L6e-BU approved electric vehicle, meets the strictest environmental specifications without additional exemptions. Nature-based leisure parks also use the Galibot for site monitoring and maintenance teams.

Configure your Galibot for forestry use

Two packages to adapt the Galibot to forest ranger field operations:

  • Bulk Transport Pack: Cab-mounted tool holder, mesh side extensions, aluminum bed floor — ideal for transporting forest intervention equipment
  • Serenity Pack: Extended warranty + maintenance contract for 60 months — to ensure operational availability in hard-to-access areas

Dedicated configurations are available for public authorities managing natural areas, regional and national parks, and forestry operations.
